About
Taught by Second City veteran and seasoned musical improviser Kevin Matviw, this workshop will have you improvising lyrics, choruses, and full-blown musical numbers alongside live accompaniment and instrumental tracks. This intensive is for improvisers with scene work and storytelling experience. Musical background is helpful but not necessary.
Kevin Matviw’s musical improv comedy duo Death Ray Cabaret headlined Toronto’s Big City Improv Festival, performed for sold-out shows in the Edinburgh Fringe two years in a row and won Outstanding Performance, Outstanding Production and Best of Fringe at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Kevin was the assistant director for the Dora Award winning fully improvised musical One Night Only.
