Course tuition and fees are not refundable.

 

A class transfer to an equivalent or lower level class may be available more than 7 days before the class is scheduled to start. After that point we will not be able to transfer your enrolment.

Rescheduling/Cancelation
 

In the event that Garden City Improv reschedules or cancels a course due to changes in teacher availability or under enrolment, enrolled students may receive credit towards a class of equal value or a full refund.

 

If a student is unable to attend a course that has been rescheduled or canceled due to circumstances beyond Garden City Improvs control, including, but not limited to, weather events, natural disasters, or local/national quarantines, students may receive partial credit towards another class equal to the value of the rescheduled sessions after new dates or cancelation has been announced, or credit towards a class of equal value if the course had not started.

Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to sign up for this course.

 

Conduct

​

Inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated and will result in suspension and removal from class and performance opportunities. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to: distracting/disruptive behaviour, consumption of drugs or alcohol before or during class, wanton destruction of physical class space, failure to dispose of garbage properly, bringing uninvited guests to class and inappropriate verbal, physical or sexual conduct. Students and performers will not give notes at any time at any Garden City Improv classes, rehearsals or shows.

Students are expected to help foster a creative and supportive learning environment without distractions. Students are expected to support their fellow classmates by abstaining from eating in class and talking while students or teachers are talking.

Liability

​

You agree that you choose to voluntarily participate in the course with full knowledge that the activity may be hazardous to yourself and/or your property. You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained as a result of participating in the activity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Garden City Improv and its employees, members & volunteers for any loss, liability, damage or costs, including court costs and attorney's fees, that may occur as a result of your participation in the activity. Garden City Improv is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

 

Disclaimer

Garden City Improv reserves the right to accept or deny any individual's application. Garden City Improv reserves the right to postpone or cancel class if it does not reach a minimum number of students. Fees incurred by student for travel/lodging etc. will not be reimbursed by Garden City Improv or its affiliates.

 

Garden City Improv reserves the right to replace any teacher at anytime with another equally qualified teacher without notice.

 

Participation in or completion of classes does not guarantee placement on a Garden City Improv house team or any Garden City Improv shows.
