MUSICAL IMPROV with KEVIN MATVIW
This high-energy, three-week intensive is your chance to experience the joy of making up songs on the spot, without needing to be pitch-perfect! Taught by Second City veteran and seasoned musical improviser Kevin Matviw, this course will have you improvising lyrics, choruses, and full-blown musical numbers alongside live accompaniment and instrumental tracks. Whether you’re belting out a solo or jumping into an ensemble number, you’ll build confidence, learn the basics of musical structure, and discover how much fun it is to let your voice lead the way.
Classes are on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 9pm at Theatre SKAM (849 Fort Street) from July 30 to August 13.
This class is for improvisers with scene work and storytelling experience. Musical background is helpful but not necessary.
