About
Taught by Second City veteran and seasoned musical improviser Kevin Matviw, this course will have you improvising lyrics, choruses, and full-blown musical numbers alongside live accompaniment and instrumental tracks. Whether you’re belting out a solo or jumping into an ensemble number, you’ll build confidence, learn the basics of musical structure, and discover how much fun it is to let your voice lead the way.
Classes are on Saturday afternoons from 1pm to 4pm at Theatre SKAM Studios (846 Broughton Street) from March 28 to April 23.
At the end of this class, there will be a performance for family and friends on Friday, April 24.
This class is for improvisers with scene work and storytelling experience. Musical background is helpful but not necessary.
