Sketch Comedy 101

Drawing from his experience as an actor/writer for The Second City in Toronto and a member of the Canadian Comedy Award winning sketch troupe The Sketchersons, GCI artistic director Kevin Matviw will teach you the fundamentals of sketch comedy writing and performance!

This six-week class will run on Thursday evenings from March 6th to April 10th. 7-9 PM. At the end of this six-week course, students will have their writing performed by actors (and any Sketch 101 student that wants to perform) in a student sketch comedy showcase on Saturday, March 12th at 8:30pm at Theatre SKAM's Satellite Studio (849 Fort St.). Interested students who have completed this class will be eligible to participate in upcoming GCI sketch comedy shows. Participation in the class does not guarantee a spot in any shows.
